Assistant Professor, non-tenure track; former postdoc in the lab; scientific lead and continuity node.

Responsibilities

• Serves as the operational scientific bridge between Ben and the lab.
• Joins regular one-on-one meetings with students, postdocs, and senior personnel.
• Provides experimental design and analysis support across projects.
• Helps preserve scientific continuity as Ben's chair duties reduce direct bandwidth.

Mentoring Structure

• Students meet with Ben approximately every two weeks; postdocs/senior staff approximately every three weeks.
• Lucia joins these meetings and also meets many lab members weekly or every other week.

Expertise

• Strong experimentalist.
• Cross-project experimental setup and analysis planning.
• Viral surveillance lead in TRACE/LHS context.
